YAY! We ROCKED the house!

We showed 'em what EL can do.

We've got the principal's approval. We've got the compliments.

We deserve it, guys. We practiced hard. We played our part. We believed in our characters and immersed ourselves in it. The lighting was amazing. The sound, the music, what can I say, you people just captured the mood of the scenes. Even the audience could feel and follow our story.

And of course, we must remember not to break the magic, or Danny's gonna break our heads.

We remember all the magic we created. We bring it on in the next performance, and the next, and all the ones after. Even when we're no longer EL members, when we move on to acting in other groups, other productions, we must remember that we've done it before, and promise that we will do it just the way we did it tonight, or even better.

Moving on to something else... do you guys want a new blogskin, featuring photos of ELDDS? I think it'll be nice, it'll really belong to us. I can ask Ms Ilan to send me tonight's photos, and scan some that I have, and make them all into one collage which will become our blogskin!

For those of you who are still quite gong, we are currently preparing for the school's Music and Movement Night 2006, held on Friday, 24th November. The schedule for the upcoming week are as follows.

Monday, 20th November: Practice, 1230 to 1630, Drama Studio.
Tuesday, 21st November: Rehearsal, 1230 to 1830, Hall.
Wednesday, 22nd November: Practice, 1500 to 1800, Drama Studio.
Thursday, 23rd November: FULL DRESS REHEARSAL, 0800 to 1300, Hall; Followed by a Practice, 1430 to 1730, Drama Studio.
Friday, 24th November: unconfirmed: full dress rehearsal at 1230, will confirm ASAP; But what's confirmed: Practice, 1500 to 1700, Drama Studio; Dinner, 1700 to 1745; Make-up and Preparation, 1745 to 1830; Performance, 1920 to 2100.

Please take note! And other than those who are overseas, there will be no absentees, no funny excuses will be tolerated. All are to turn up for all sessions. Thanks.

As with all other CCAs, ELDDS sessions are called off for the examination period, and rehearsals for Music and Movement night's production, "Reach for the Stars", will commence after the exams. Welup sorry if that previous post insulted your intelligence.

Just a little update: There will be no ELDDS practices until further notice, which will most likely come in September.

It'll be a good hiatus for those who've been involved in the Fire Prevention Musical Skit Competition.

And when we're back, we'll work harder for Music and Movement Night: Reach for the Stars!

Be prepared for what you're about to read - it might rub you the wrong way.

A few things that are pissing me off.

1. The noise level - I seriously can't talk properly with juniors making noise and seniors shutting them up. Seriously, guys, it would do just fine, if you guys just stop moving your mouths and stop excercising your vocal chords for just fifteen minutes I could've done more in one session. I'm sorry I'm treating you like kids but apparently that's your maturity level.

2. If you are so unwilling, fine, then let's not perform for Teachers' Day anymore.

3. If you are so unwilling, fine, then don't join ELDDS. Quit and go to some slackers' club, ELDDS DEFINITELY isn't for slackers.

4. Just at least acknowledge that there are people slogging for you. If you think I like holding discussions with forty-over talking people, why don't you try and stand at the whiteboard to tell your story. If you think I actually enjoy writing to a boring Teachers' Day theme, why don't you sit by the keyboard and brainstorm until 2am. If you think I like to shout at people, then you must think I definitely enjoy sore throats after that.

If you think I like being president, then I'm happy to be hospitalised for depression.

As for Teachers' Day, I mean it - I'm cancelling it unless I see something that inspires me to do something.
